We are partnering with a growing organization in the Nashville area to add a Senior Cost Accountant to its team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating closely with operations and leveraging financial data to drive better business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own cost accounting and inventory-related activities for a manufacturing operation
- Analyze standard vs. actual costs, variances, margins, and product profitability
- Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, and month-end close
- Partner with operations to identify cost savings and process improvements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and product costing
- Assist with pricing analysis and new product/project costing
- Maintain and improve ERP data related to inventory and product costs
- Provide financial reporting and insights to plant and senior leadership
- Work cross-functionally to improve profitability, inventory management, and cash flow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of cost accounting/manufacturing finance experience
- Strong understanding of inventory, product costing, and variance analysis
- ERP experience preferred
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working closely with both finance and operations
