Senior Cost Accountant

We are partnering with a growing organization in the Nashville area to add a Senior Cost Accountant to its team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating closely with operations and leveraging financial data to drive better business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own cost accounting and inventory-related activities for a manufacturing operation
• Analyze standard vs. actual costs, variances, margins, and product profitability
• Support inventory valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, and month-end close
• Partner with operations to identify cost savings and process improvements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and product costing
• Assist with pricing analysis and new product/project costing
• Maintain and improve ERP data related to inventory and product costs
• Provide financial reporting and insights to plant and senior leadership
• Work cross-functionally to improve profitability, inventory management, and cash flow

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5+ years of cost accounting/manufacturing finance experience
• Strong understanding of inventory, product costing, and variance analysis
• ERP experience preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working closely with both finance and operations
