About the role

We are seeking a Senior Corrosion Control Technician (Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E)) to support our customers in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Provide corrosion control solutions for U.S. Navy ship and submarine maintenance
  • Identify and mitigate shipboard corrosion control issues
  • Understand and apply technical requirements for shipboard HM&E and C5I systems and equipment
  • Use surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques, and coating system application tools
  • Work with and understand constraints associated with shipboard organizational level corrosion control and preservation maintenance
  • Understand new corrosion control technologies and their implementation on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in the corrosion control field
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and related military experience or trade/industrial school graduate and/or trade experience
  • AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 3) certification
  • Seven (7) years of experience in the corrosion control field supporting U.S. Navy ship and submarine maintenance
  • Experience with mitigating shipboard corrosion control issues, identifying solutions, and understanding technical requirements for shipboard HM&E and C5I systems and equipment
  • Knowledge on the use of surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques, coating system application tools and types of coating systems used on U.S. Navy ships or in the marine industry
  • Experience working with and understanding constraints associated with shipboard organizational level corrosion control and preservation maintenance
  • An understanding of new corrosion control technologies and how they may be implemented on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $55.21. This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
