About the role

The Senior Corporate Counsel - Labor & Employment will serve as a trusted advisor to corporate leadership, proactively identifying risk, guiding strategic decisions, and driving best-in-class legal practices across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to own complex matters from pre-litigation strategy through resolution, influence policy development, and collaborate cross-functionally to support ALDI's continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and mitigate labor and employment risks
  • Provide practical, business-focused legal advice and counsel
  • Guide strategic decisions and develop policies that align with organizational goals
  • Own and resolve complex labor and employment matters from pre-litigation strategy through resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and support business objectives
  • Advocate for best-in-class legal practices and continuously improve processes

Requirements

  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting
  • Experience in labor and employment law, including litigation, counseling, and compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

Pay

$186,250 starting salary, with increases to $196,750 in year 2 and $207,000 in year 3.

Schedule

This role is a full-time Legal hybrid position, requiring work in-office at least 2 days per month.
