GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational leadership of the corporate accounting function. This role serves as a critical partner to senior leadership, driving financial integrity and process excellence across the organization. The Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the monthly close cycle, ensure adherence to GAAP standards, and maintain audit-ready financial records. In addition, the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager will lead a high-performing team, champion continuous process improvement initiatives, and serve as the primary liaison to external auditors and tax professionals, ensuring the organization's accounting practices reflect the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Lead and develop the corporate accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance managementOwn the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analyses Maintain and improve documented accounting policies, internal controls, and proceduresCoordinate with external tax professionals and government agencies on company filingsServe as the accounting lead on enterprise-wide initiatives, collaborating with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations to evaluate business decisions, resolve accounting complexities, and ensure GAAP-compliant outcomesIdentify and lead initiatives to streamline accounting processesPartner with divisional and senior leaders on accounting and finance mattersServe as the primary liaison for the external auditors; coordinate audit schedules, prepare requested documentation, and resolve findingsSupport ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with 8 – 10 years of progressive experience (CPA preferred)Strong foundation in GAAP, accrual accounting, and cost accountingExperience with percentage-of-completion and project-based accounting (manufacturing or wholesale distribution background a plus)Proven ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, and confidential information with discretionStrong communicator who can translate financial data for non-finance audiencesAdvanced knowledge of excelAbility to adhere to month-end close timelinesOracle NetSuite, AS400, Concur Invoice, and Concur Expense experience a plus WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS Hybrid schedule onsite (2-3 days per week) Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:30PM EST PAY RANGE: $140-160K Annually based on experience Benefits Medical insuranceVision insuranceDental insuranceHealth Savings Account401(k)Paid time offPaid parental leave Please review our applicant communication policies: L&R Texting Policy & Terms Powered by JazzHR PCvCXBw0J4
