About the role
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OU HSC) is one of the nation's few academic health centers with all health-related colleges. OU HSC serves approximately 4,000 students in more than 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs on campuses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare menus, create recipes and specialty food items
- Assist with managing kitchen inventory and food costs
- Order supplies
- Maintain clean and organized food preparation areas
- Support daily kitchen operations
- Train staff
- Monitor inventory
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED or graduate of a culinary school
- 36 months food service experience
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handling and Sanitation Certification from the State of Oklahoma
- Familiarity with preparation of gourmet and/or specialty type menu items
- Experience with menu planning and costing
- Experience in complete kitchen management, ethnic cooking (including baking), salad preparation, entrée selection, and pairing

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, schedule could change depending on workload and my require some evenings and weekends.
