Senior Controller

The Role

RDI is hiring a Senior Controller to own the finance function end to end. Key responsibilities include leading the monthly close, GAAP financial statements, ASC 606 revenue recognition, the billing tracker, lender reporting, and the forward forecast model. You will also oversee the outsourced accounting team that supports our day-to-day financials, AP, and AR.

The Work

• Oversight of the monthly close process, including working with the outsourced accounting partner to handle bookkeeping, AP processing, and AR.
• Responsibility for monthly borrowing-base reporting and covenant compliance with lenders.
• Ownership of the quarterly forecast model shared with the board.

RDI Trials is building a different kind of CRO. Founded in 2008, we specialize in IVD-focused contract research organizations. We run over 300 diagnostic trials for major test makers annually. Our culture emphasizes taking ownership and moving quickly. This role is on-site in Van Nuys, California.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with project-based services revenue recognition, particularly in clinical research, CDMO, consulting, construction, or similar environments.
• Experience directing an outsourced accounting partner or a small in-house team.
• Technical strength and ambition to take on full-function ownership.
• Underleveraged in current role, ready to expand responsibilities.
