Senior Controller

Based in NYC - Hybrid working (4 days per week in the office)Fast growing multifamily property management company About Our Client The business are a fast-paced and lean organization, that are looking for a new leader to help manage the full accounting and finance department. he Senior Controller will report directly into the COO, will oversee a team of 12 (mainly made up of Property Accountants) and develop a number of systems and processes for the business. The successful candidate MUST have a background in real estate/property management and looking to join a fast growing organization. They have hybrid working (4 days per week in the office). Job Description Lead and manage the company's accounting and financial reporting processes.Managing a portfolio of over 150 NYC buildings (multifamily and residential).Oversee the full client accounting function, as well as the corporate accounting team.Main POC for any finance queries.Oversee a team of 10-12 people.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.Prepare and analyze financial statements to support decision-making.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Streamline and improve accounting systems and processes.Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and guidance.Manage audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.Mentor and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance.
