Duties and Responsibilities
- Calculate and monitor standard and actual costs for flavor products, ensuring accuracy in SAP and related systems.
- Analyze variances (materials, labor, overhead) and provide feedback to Operations, Pricing and R&D.
- Ensure accurate BOMs and routings in collaboration with R&D and Production, supporting new product introductions and recipe changes.
- Perform in-depth margin analysis by product, customer, and business segment, leveraging global reporting tools.
- Support Commercial teams with pricing, scenario modeling, and customer profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement through cost optimization, waste reduction, and process improvements.
- Serve as a Controlling partner for Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain, providing financial insights for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions at local and regional levels.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes using digital tools and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required, CMA a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in controlling, cost accounting, or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S4/Hana (FI/CO, MM, PP modules), Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Industry experience in flavor, fragrance, food ingredients, or specialty chemicals is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
- Experience working in an international environment is a plus.
