Activities
- Monitor health of control systems software, hardware, HMI, and networks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; perform replacements and corrections.
- Schedule and implement system upgrades.
- Provide technical support for Honeywell DCS, RTU 2020, Control Edge, Safety Manager, Allen Bradley PLC, Triconex platforms.
- Manage associated software tools: Tristation, Control Builder, Safety Builder, Process Safety Advisor, RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View.
- Apply MOC process for capital projects and facility changes.
- Maintain control system documentation, architecture, and asset inventory.
- Provide QA/QC and commissioning for new installations of DCS, PLC, SIS hardware and instruments.
- Review drawings for compliance with engineering standards.
- Participate in FAT and SAT testing.
- Conduct SIF validation testing.
- Collaborate with IT, OT, and other departments as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years experience in industrial control systems or experience as an industrial instrumentation/electrical technician role in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Manufacturing, or Process Automation;
- OR Associate’s Degree with 5+ years related experience;
- OR Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years related experience (preferred).
