About the role
Our client is a nationally recognized engineering and construction organization that delivers large-scale infrastructure and building projects across the United States. The company is experiencing significant growth through both acquisition activity and expanding market demand, and adding a Senior Contracts Specialist to its legal and contracts team.

Responsibilities

- The Senior Contracts Specialist will review, redline, draft, and negotiate a high volume of construction and commercial agreements, including contracts, change orders, vendor agreements, service agreements, and releases
- Partner directly with business stakeholders throughout the procurement and contract negotiation process
- Identify contractual risks and provide practical recommendations to protect the company's interests
- Maintain and update contract templates and standard language to support consistency and best practices
- Interpret contract terms, answer internal questions, and ensure timely contract turnaround
Requirements
- Strong construction industry experience required (please do not apply if you do not have construction experience)
- 5+ years of contract administration, contracts management, or related legal/contracts experience
- Extensive experience reviewing, redlining, drafting, and negotiating contracts
- Familiarity with construction contracts, change orders, and vendor/service agreements
- Ability to work independently with minimal training and bring contract management best practices to the team
- Comfortable spending the majority of the day reviewing and negotiating agreements
Work environment
- Hybrid schedule with an anticipated three days onsite
- Standard 40-hour workweek with flexible start and end times
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $115,000-$120,000
- Discretionary annual bonus
