About the role

This position is located at the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Munitions Directorate (RW) at Eglin AFB, FL in the Integration and Operations Division (AFRL/RWO), supporting the Tenants Contract for the Air Force Division.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Special Security Representative (SSR) for management of the secure facilities for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)/Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) management.
  • Day-to-day security management of sensitive information categories.
  • Analyze, plan, advise, operate, and evaluate the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or materials from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
  • Protect classified and controlled information at the SCI, SAP, Collateral Secret, and Top-Secret levels.
  • Plan and develop procedures, methods, and techniques for the protection of SCI and SAP information.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Master’s degree. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10 years' experience with DoD/USAF Security guidance for information/personnel/industrial security programs.
  • Full working knowledge of a wide range of special security concepts, principles, and practices established in legislation, executive orders, regulations, directives, and policy decisions.
  • Knowledge of all special security disciplines to ensure that SCI and SAP security programs comply with national security.
  • Working knowledge of Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Knowledge of AF instructions and operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, expert attention-to-detail, and highly organized.
  • Professional experience in administrative duties and office organization.
  • Current Secret Clearance required at hire, with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance. Clearance level must be maintained throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-level information and communications systems such as JWICS, JWICS VTC, CV2, AF7 is highly desired.
  • Prior AF experience and/or experience in a laboratory setting working with scientists and engineers.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance highly desired.
