Senior Contract Acquisition Support Specialist
About the role
Amentum is seeking a Senior Contract Acquisition Support Specialist to provide leadership and manage the acquisition contract management support team for our US Navy customer, Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) for Munitions PMX-311 Terminal Defense Systems (TDS) (previously PEO IWS 11) Program Office. PAE Munitions PMX-311 is comprised of the Close-In Weapon System (CIWS), Directed Energy, Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS), Gun Weapon Systems (GWS), and the international cooperative Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) program with Germany. We are looking for a qualified individual to provide day-to-day direction, support and team management in cooperation with the Government's Acquisition Team Leaders in the planning and execution of contractual actions for the RAM and CIWS programs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage the development, review, and processing of required DoW and DON acquisition documentation to support senior level PMX-311 program technical and acquisition staff including Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies and Acquisition Program Baselines
- Manage Acquisition Support Team's day-to-day development of Procurement Requests utilizing the NAVAIR Acquisition Management System (AMS) Suite of tools including development of Statements of Work (SOWs), contract Sections B through L, Security documents and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Work with the Program Office acquisition staff and Contracting Officer to establish/track acquisition milestones in the AMS system and to resolve contract development/execution issues
- Plan and execute Acquisition team meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Work with program financial staff to ensure timely execution of funds through the procurement process
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 15 years of acquisition support services experience with Navy/DoW services programs
- Demonstrated experience with NAVAIR AMS Suite of tools and creation of Procurement Initiation Document (PID) packages for approval workflow approval processing
- Proficient in the use of technical applications including excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in MS Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft application
- Good written, communication, organizational skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work with senior government staff
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
- Ability to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Contract Management support experience with NAVSEA/PEO services programs
- Experience supporting international customers requiring international travel
- Team management/supervision experience
- Current active Secret DoW clearance
Pay
$135,000 - $175,000
