Senior Consultant, Tech Strategy Advisor – Healthcare & Life Sciences - Elevate

About the role

Apply creative problem-solving and strategic thinking to a variety of healthcare & life sciences consultancy projects. Contribute project planning and execution by ensuring alignment of project delivery to client needs, objectives, timelines, risks, and expectations. Work as part of a project team to develop commercial, analytics, and IT strategies; design technology strategies, target architectures, and implementation roadmap; and optimize clients’ technology landscapes end-to-end.

Partner with leading healthcare and life sciences organizations to solve strategic commercial and technology challenges across the product lifecycle. Bridge business and technology stakeholders to define technology strategies, design target operating models and technology landscapes; map future-state business processes, develop business and technical requirements, evaluate keep, make or buy options, lead RFI/RFP and vendor selection processes, and support technology implementation.

Apply and continuously expand your expertise in Simon-Kucher’s growth areas in pricing, sales, and marketing. Experience with commercial technology solutions including CRM, CPQ, CLM, ICM, SPM, ERP, PO&M is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare client-ready deliverables and independently present project workstream findings and recommendations to senior clients, incorporating feedback.
  • Play an integral role in the recruitment and integration of new consultants in our analytics and growth technology offerings, contributing to Simon-Kucher’s culture and success.
  • Guide clients on data strategy and architecture by accessing data platforms, integration patterns, and governance requirements, and recommending scalable solutions that improve data quality, accessibility, and business usability.
  • Advise clients on AI technology strategy, including evaluating AI use cases, assessing AI tech stacks and vendor options, and recommending scalable technical solutions that translate business ambition into practical implementation roadmaps.
  • Shape future ready IT operating models by defining the capabilities, governance, roles, processes, and organizational structures required to delivery technology-enabled transformation effectively and sustainably.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree from an accredited university or college in computer science, economics, business, finance, math, information technology, engineering, science, or a related field, along with 2+ years of full-time work experience, ideally in management consulting or industry, with experience in analytics, growth technology, pricing, marketing, sales, strategy, or commercial and or digital transformation.
  • Healthcare industry or healthcare consulting experience is preferred, especially with technical industry experience in commercial technology, enterprise software, or technology enabled commercial transformation across pricing, sales, marketing, and related commercial functions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with any of the following: pricing, marketing, or sales software, including CRM, CPQ, CLM, ICM, SPM, ERP sales modules, PO&M, or related commercial technology solutions.
  • Experience assessing current-state business processes, system landscapes, and technology architectures, and translating findings into future-state process maps, target architectures, and technology roadmaps is highly valued.
  • Experience defining business and technical requirements, developing functional specifications, and translating business needs into scalable technology solutions is a strong plus.
  • Supporting technology evaluations, including keep, make, or buy assessments, vendor selection, and RFI/RFP processes, is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with software implementation projects, such as business analysis, solution design, testing, or rollout, is a strong advantage.

  • Good presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings, takeaways, and recommendations to senior audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior clients.
  • Up to date with technology and software industry trends and eager to quickly and independently build knowledge of new and niche software products.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, client-focused mindset, and a conscientious, dynamic attitude.

Benefits

  • Total compensation for this role includes base salary, performance bonus, eligibility for annual merit-based increases, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • The base salary range for this position is between $125,000 to $150,000 per year for US roles.
  • Specific compensation within these ranges will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
  • Salary ranges are reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with market conditions.
