Senior Consultant - Software Engineer

The Senior Consultant – Software Engineering is critical to the growth of our core business and products by working directly with customers and internal teams to develop software solutions that help Fortune 500 and high-value customers achieve their automation and data needs using our robotics products.
About the role
You will build in-depth knowledge of our robotics and software solutions and demonstrate the ability to think strategically and develop software solutions that meet customers’ needs while contributing knowledge and code back to our core platforms and architectures. The Senior Consultant works directly with external clients and project leadership on paid engagements to execute the development and delivery of software integrations and tools. You should have experience in projects related to customization of core platforms, application development, sensor fusion, or other custom software development.
You will learn from and synthesize insights from customers, Consulting leaders, product leaders, and external experts to successfully deliver applications and code that unlock robotics systems in customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Directors and Software Leaders to develop and deliver custom software solutions based on our core robot and fleet management products to accelerate the adoption of robotics and intelligent systems in dynamic environments.
- Act as an external-facing technical representative, leveraging deep product knowledge to synthesize customer insights into actionable technical solutions and custom applications.
- Own the design and implementation of software frameworks that scale across autonomous systems, embedded platforms, and cloud-based services.
- Drive resolution of complex, high-risk technical challenges in projects that span perception, planning, controls, safety, and hardware/software integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights in support of strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and technical documentation that summarize key findings and deliverables.
- Assist in facilitating technical requirements and sprint planning sessions.
- Move fast, but intentionally, to bring new technology tools that help guide our investments in core robotics, software capabilities, tools, and infrastructure.
- Stay informed on industry developments and share insights with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
- Expertise in software development, software tools, and new platforms and tools for physical AI.
- Knowledge or experience in robotics (especially core platforms), autonomy, embedded systems, perception systems, or related fields.
- Strong grasp of hardware/software trade-offs and cross-disciplinary systems thinking.
- Ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable requirements.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in robotics or physical systems software engineering or embedded systems development.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment preferred.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is between $134,399.00 to $167,998.00 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
