People Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive team member experience.

  • Client relationship and business development responsibilities.
  • May work more independently and autonomously with contractors, owners, and regulators on projects.
  • Documentation and expert advice to all levels of the process, creating a client facing partnership with key regulators.
  • Client Increased public-facing representative of Ryan.
  • Works with project design teams to approve work necessary to meet preservation standard.
  • Values Higher degree of expertise in all phases of the historic preservation certification process.
  • Oversees the completion of the regulatory filings and amendments as required.
  • Consultative and persuasive with extensive knowledge of the historic preservation process.
  • Reads and comprehends architectural plans as they pertain to the historic preservation process.
  • Reviews compliance with state and federal regulations to ensure projects are meet the SOI Standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with strong writing and research capabilities (in History, Architectural History, Historical Preservation or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum two-three years of experience with historic tax credit application projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, and write persuasive technical arguments.
  • Work experience in comparable federal, state, or local preservation programs is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative working in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct research both online and in archives.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Technical proficiency in Creative Cloud suite (especially InDesign) to layup photos, create maps, and photo keys.

Pay

  • Base salary range for this position is $66,000 - $86,900 for Massachusetts based roles.
  • Base salary range for this position is $64,000 - $83,600 for other Massachusetts based roles.

Schedule

  • Independent travel requirement: 20 to 30%.
