Senior Consultant – Gas Turbine/O&M, Power Generation
Position Overview
The Senior Consultant – Gas Turbine & Power Generation provides independent, high-level technical and commercial advice to power plant owners, utilities and developers. The role focuses on asset performance, reliability, lifecycle cost, contract risk, and technical due diligence for gas turbine and simple/combined-cycle power plants. It is a client facing position to support Power Plant Operations and Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Advisory & Due Diligence
- Perform technical due diligence for gas turbine and combined-cycle projects (existing and future new build Power Plants).
- Review O&M/OEM contracts, LTSA agreements, warranties, and performance guarantees.
- Evaluate plant condition, maintenance status, remaining life, and upgrade potential.
- Identify technical and commercial risks affecting asset value.
Asset Performance & Reliability Consulting
- Analyse fleet performance, availability, forced outage rates, and heat rate trends.
- Benchmark plant performance against OEM and industry standards.
- Identify reliability issues and maintenance gaps.
- Provide recommendations to maximize plant production.
Outage & Maintenance Strategy Advisory
- Review and optimize long-term maintenance plans and inspection strategies.
- Assess outage scopes, budgets, and contractor proposals.
- Advise on life-extension, parts strategy, and risk-based maintenance approaches.
Project & Upgrade Advisory
- Evaluate upgrade options.
- Support EPC and retrofit project evaluations.
- Assess commissioning results and performance test outcomes.
Client Engagement & Reporting
- Interface with Power Plant Owners, Developers, Asset Managers, and Plant Operators.
- Produce technical and executive-level reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering.
- 15+ years of gas turbine and power plant experience (Preferably OEM Experience).
- Direct involvement in Power Plant Operations, outages, commissioning, or fleet reliability programs.
- Strong understanding of OEM commercial and technical frameworks (LTSA, warranties, performance guarantees).

Pay Range
The base salary range for this position is $144,700.00 to $253,300.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
