Senior Consultant – Data & Digital Manufacturing
Role Summary
Senior consultant responsible for defining and guiding data architecture and digital manufacturing strategy for pharmaceutical clients. This role engages directly with customer stakeholders to gather input, shape strategy, and drive alignment and buy-in across IT, OT, quality, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise data and digital manufacturing strategies aligned to pharma/GMP requirements
- Design target architectures, including Unified Namespace (UNS), data models, and integration frameworks, and consolidated, normalized data for analytics
- Lead customer workshops to capture requirements and build stakeholder alignment
- Translate current-state environments (MES, SCADA, historians, cloud) into future-state roadmaps
- Advise on modern, event-driven data architectures to replace legacy, tightly coupled systems
- Create Data Governance policies consistent with CGMP practices, while enabling maximum flexibility for advanced analysis on data collected
- Develop executive-level messaging to support decision-making and funding approval
Qualifications
- 8+ years in life sciences (pharma) consulting, digital manufacturing, or data architecture
- Experience with Unified Namespace (UNS) and industrial data architectures
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems (MES, SCADA, historians)
- Experience in data modeling and enterprise data strategy
- Experience in cloud based analytical architectures
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments
Preferred
- Familiarity with ISA-95 / ISA-88 models
- Experience with data contextualization platforms and modern data stacks
- Background in digital transformation / Industry 4.0 consulting
- Familiarity with C&Q, field analytics, and automation systems is a plus
