Senior Consultant, Cloud Solutions

Position Summary

Sikich is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead network engineering by gathering client requirements, architecting solutions, and implementing solutions for varied IT environments.

What will you do in this role?

• Focus on defining client needs and architecting network solutions, demonstrate capacity to deliver and communicate solutions, and provide QA before client release.
• Act as resource for performing the discovery/diagnostic phase of technical projects.
• Build client relationships and provide advanced technical support for complex issues.
• Act as project lead for complex network infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate and recommend new systems and tools.
• Become proficient in the overall functionality of all Microsoft products.
• Manage time against assigned budgets, keep projects on schedule, recommend ways to overcome delays, and ensure that billable hours are logged accurately.
• Mentor Consultants and Associate Consultants on projects.
• Increase technical skills beyond basic/core needs.
• Obtain and maintain latest Microsoft Certifications.
• Achieve billable hour goals as dictated by team senior management.
• Develop a good understanding of business and information technology processes.
• Work with Modern Workplace, M365, and Azure daily.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• Background and expertise in Network consulting.
• Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience.
• 4-year college degree or commensurate industry experience.
• Major certifications in area of expertise such as Microsoft Azure, Modern Workplace, and Teams.
• Expertise with various Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams Voice, SharePoint Online, SQL, Active Directory, and Windows Server and Desktop OS.
• Network infrastructure expertise, including LAN/WAN, routing, VLANs, core switching, and wireless.
• Server and desktop hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Security experience, including expertise with firewall and desktop security products.
• Backup and disaster recovery methods using various best of breed products.
• Experience with ConnectWise time entry and billing system a plus.
