Senior Consultant

About the role
LEI is seeking a Senior Consultant for our Boston, MA office. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of economics, finance, and statistics, along with a strong interest in the energy industry and infrastructure or project finance. Candidates should possess excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Foreign language skills are a plus. The role operates in a casual, non-hierarchical environment.
Responsibilities
- Produce price forecasts for various electricity markets.
- Construct and analyze financial models for asset sales and acquisitions.
- Write detailed evaluations of energy markets in the U.S. and abroad.
- Create testimony for regulatory and litigation proceedings.
- Advise private and public sector entities on regulatory economics.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in the energy industry or power sector; backgrounds in natural gas, transport, or water will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality quantitative and written analysis.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of statistics and finance.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with an ISO or similar organization is beneficial.
- Experience managing projects and teams.
