Senior Consultant, Air Quality

About the role

Hybrid-based position in our Westford, MA; Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Portland, ME; or Princeton, NJ office.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating air emissions and conducting engineering evaluations of air pollution sources.
• Preparing air quality permit applications.
• Working as a team to contribute technical skills on complex projects, and contributing to proposal preparation, technical presentations and client meetings.
• Preparing for and participating in meetings with regulatory agencies.
• Carrying out site visits to industrial facilities as needed to understand operations, gather data/information, and inform the evaluations described above.
• Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Providing occasional regulatory compliance support in other environmental program areas.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or science discipline (air quality coursework is a plus)
• 6+ years of air quality-related experience
• Strong computing skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving and organization skills
• Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations

Pay

Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
