Senior Construction Observation and Field Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings and document sets with a strong focus on technical detailing
• Apply working knowledge of landscape architectural construction and site development elements
• Review and redline drawing sets
• Conduct materials research and write technical specifications
• Support projects through construction, including site observation or construction administration
• Travel as needed, including driving

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in a design office (landscape architecture, architecture, or urban design)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Licensure or intent to pursue licensure

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with an ability to elevate the quality of construction documentation
• Organized and thoughtful in managing time, tasks, and project information
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Approaches problem-solving with curiosity and sound judgment
• Works collaboratively with designers at all levels and contributes to a positive team environment
• Takes initiative while remaining open to direction and feedback
• Comfortable participating in and leading meetings as needed
• Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and follow-through
• Positive attitude and strong sense of ownership in work

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu
• Hand sketching and visual communication skills
• 3D modeling experience (SketchUp or Rhino)
• Familiarity with Revit or other BIM software
