STV is seeking a Senior Construction Manager - Aviation to join our PM/CM team to work onsite in Philadelphia, PA with one of our Aviation clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison and airport/owner representative responsible for directing and managing the project
- Develop and manage project scope to meet goals and objectives
- Develop RFPs and oversee the procurement process for designers and contractors
- Provide direction and management to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations
- Plan and define program goals, devising methods to accomplish them, and develop in-depth knowledge of owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies
- Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project
- Collaborate with team members and airport management to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for various project elements
- Oversee owner’s staff managing full project delivery, including stakeholder interfaces
- Manage project scope to meet or exceed project goals and objectives
- Identify and study options to resolve complex design, operational, or constructability issues
- Conduct field surveys and investigations to capture detailed and accurate field conditions for strategic design and construction decisions
- Maintain documentation on the approved scope of work, including agreements, authorizations, reports, drawings, and specifications, with narratives and coordinated CAD representations
- Oversee the Design Manager in managing the design process during design and construction, including resolution of technical design issues, non-compliances, field non-conformances, RFIs, shop drawing reviews, factory and site acceptance tests, material approvals, mock-up approvals, testing, commissioning, and punch list management
- Oversee the Design Review Team (DRT) design review process through all phases of design, including significant design changes during construction
- Monitor and lead efforts related to the permitting process required by the design team and contractor
- Oversee the construction process to remove and mitigate obstacles causing inefficiencies
- Become thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all facilities to be erected
- Ensure all work is performed and inspected according to the latest versions of plans, specifications, approved changes, submittals, and RFIs
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience, preferably on airport projects
- Experience with projects valued over $50 million
- Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build
- Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (Management, Planning, or other technical field)
- Master’s degree preferred
- Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or other relevant professional licenses or certifications
Pay
$179,064.64 - $204,645.30
