Senior Construction Inspector
About the role
This position is a great opportunity to work on fast-paced, short duration projects within Florida. The inspector will primarily work independently on FDOT projects consisting of milling and resurfacing, bridge construction, signalization, earthwork operations, stripping operations, and final estimate preparation. They will interact on a daily basis with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and evaluate construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Interact with FDOT Project Administrators and other FDOT personnel on a daily basis.
- Prepare and review final estimates for construction projects.
- Work independently on FDOT projects consisting of various construction activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in roadway and/or bridge construction inspection.
- Local candidate preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Levels 1 and 2, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Levels 1 and 2, IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level 1, CTQP Final Estimates Levels 1 and 2, FOBT Intermediate MOT, Nuclear Radiation Safety, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors, Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges), CTQP Pile Driving Inspection, and CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years experience in construction inspection.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is full-time and requires some night, holiday, and weekend work.
