About the role

As part of our continued expansion, we’re hiring a Senior Construction Cost Estimator to drive cost modeling and financial accuracy across our capital projects. This role plays a critical function in delivering predictable outcomes by pairing detailed cost estimation with proactive cash flow forecasting to support Crusoe’s global growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end estimating, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting for data center projects from early planning through construction execution.
  • Develop CAPEX cost models aligned with design progression, scope evolution, funding strategies, and business objectives while collaborating with design, procurement, finance, real estate, and delivery teams.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure across domestic and international projects, validating quantities, unit rates, and pricing assumptions.
  • Evaluate contractor and vendor proposals through benchmarking, bid leveling, commercial analysis, and award recommendations, while assessing cost variances from design changes, procurement risks, escalation, market conditions, and schedule shifts.
  • Deliver cost reports, dashboards, executive summaries, business cases, and funding analyses to support project teams and executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain cost benchmarking databases, unit-rate libraries, labor productivity assumptions, escalation models, and market intelligence tools to improve estimate accuracy and decision-making.
  • Support site feasibility studies, preconstruction planning, value engineering, cost optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
  • Establish scalable tools and repeatable processes to support Crusoe’s infrastructure pipeline.
  • Maintain WBS structures, cost coding frameworks, and estimate-to-budget mappings to ensure alignment across estimating, procurement, project controls, and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of estimating and cost management experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale high-tech infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in cost modeling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, benchmarking, and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deep technical knowledge of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with CostX, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar estimating and cost management platforms.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, bid evaluations, contractor selection, commercial analysis, and stakeholder decision-making.
  • Strong analytical, communication, financial reporting, and presentation skills with experience engaging both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Background with general contractors, owner’s rep firms, or tech/data center infrastructure & familiarity with the full construction lifecycle including preconstruction, procurement, and delivery.
  • Professional certifications such as AACE, RICS, CMAA, CCP, or equivalent are a plus, with willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel.

Pay

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $165,000-$210,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
