We are proud to offer hands-on experiences that prepare interns for a career in conservation, animal wellbeing and education in a zoological and aquarium setting. Our internship program is designed for college students and recent college graduates.

About the role

Our internship program provides a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about animals and conservation to gain practical experience in a professional setting. Interns will work alongside experienced staff members, contributing to various aspects of our operations including animal care, education programs, and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily animal care routines, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring health.
  • Support educational programs by preparing materials and assisting with presentations.
  • Contribute to research projects related to animal behavior and welfare.
  • Participate in community outreach events and volunteer opportunities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant field of study (e.g., biology, zoology, environmental science).
  • Strong interest in animal welfare and conservation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passport and willingness to travel internationally if required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Previous experience working with animals or in a similar setting preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good organizational skills.
