About the role

The Senior Compliance & Risk Officer will provide compliance advisory services to Investments and Benefits Divisions, lead compliance education efforts, enhance and maintain conflicts of interest monitoring processes, and support several internal investment-related monitoring and oversight efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, legislative, and regulatory requirements, as well as industry guidelines related to compliance and risk management within the financial services space.
  • Best practices in compliance program development, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Methods for analyzing, documenting, and reporting compliance and risk issues, including the use of metrics and trend analysis to inform management decisions.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with financial services regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCERP).
  • Experience leading compliance education initiatives.
  • Experience with conflict of interest monitoring systems.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $7,993.00 - $10,004.00 per year. The annual incentive opportunity is 0-10% of salary and is based on the level of achievement against several quantitative and qualitative measures. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Schedule

This position is a permanent, full-time role with a hybrid schedule, offering at least 60% remote work each week.
