Responsibilities
- Support Boart Longyear’s global compliance program and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Day-to-day point of contact for the Compliance Hotline, including intake, triage, routing, documentation, and tracking through resolution.
- Identify, analyze, and escalate trends or potential issues in compliance reports and prepare insights for leadership.
- Coordinate employee compliance training and onboarding completion tracking.
- Aid in implementing and monitoring third-party risk management processes, including due diligence, qualification reviews, monitoring, and corrective action tracking.
- Aid in drafting, revising, and maintaining compliance-related policies, procedures, certifications, and communications.
- Support internal investigations, including documentation, coordination, follow-up, and reporting.
- Evaluate and improve compliance workflows, documentation, and reporting tools to strengthen processes and user experience.
- Support the General Counsel – Drilling Services with governance activities, including board resolutions, meeting materials, regulatory filings, and related corporate records.
- Maintain and update global corporate entity records, including annual reports, business registrations, statutory filings, and jurisdiction-specific deadlines.
- Assist with legal entity management, restructuring initiatives, and other legal department priorities, as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree in business, law, or a related field preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CCEP, CCEP-I, CRCM, or similar are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, legal support, legal operations, corporate governance, or related operational roles.
- Experience in industrial services, energy, mining, manufacturing, or similarly complex environments is preferred.
- Working knowledge of compliance program elements, including ABC frameworks, hotline processes, investigations support, and third-party risk management.
- Experience in, or strong interest in, working in a corporate legal department, including governance support such as entity management, filings, board materials, or related work; public company experience is a plus.
