About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join our Marketing Compliance team at Cleo. This role sits within our Legal & Compliance function and works hand-in-hand with Cleo’s marketing org. You’ll be embedded in the day-to-day flow of campaigns. This isn’t a back-office role. Your decisions directly affect what goes live. You’ll report to our Marketing Compliance Manager and be a core part of a team that takes compliance seriously at the leadership level.
We’re also actively exploring AI-assisted tooling, and you’ll have real ownership in shaping how that evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve marketing assets across channels flagging regulatory issues and suggesting compliant alternatives in a clear, actionable way.
- Manage ticket queue, coordinating with marketing teams on revisions and timelines to keep campaigns moving.
- Advise in real time on disclaimer requirements, claim substantiation, and regulatory guardrails across both US (FTC, CFPB, UDAAP) and UK (FCA, Consumer Duty) frameworks.
- Monitor regulatory developments in the US and UK that may affect live or upcoming campaigns, and flag material changes to the team proactively.
- Develop and maintain internal guidance documents and the disclaimer library.
- Attend and contribute to weekly syncs and serve as a key compliance point of contact.
- Support the compliance review process for major product launches and campaigns from brief to go-live.
- Identify and help implement AI-assisted process improvements that reduce review cycle time or increase clarity for marketing partners.
What We’re Looking For
- You have at least 2 years of experience reviewing or approving marketing or advertising materials in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within financial services — fintech, consumer banking, payments, or lending.
- You have working knowledge of FTC advertising standards and CFPB/UDAAP requirements; familiarity with UK FCA rules and Consumer Duty principles is a strong plus.
- You’re comfortable working across a high volume of varied assets with speed and precision.
- You have sharp instincts for identifying regulatory red flags and can articulate your reasoning clearly to non-compliance stakeholders.
- You’re organised and ownership-oriented. You’re energised by a fast-moving environment and comfortable operating with some ambiguity.
- You’re genuinely curious about how AI tooling can change the way compliance teams operate and excited to be part of shaping that.
