About the role
The Community Manager oversees the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. Key responsibilities include managing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
- Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff.
- Ensure the effectiveness of staff through ongoing training, coaching, counseling, and guidance.
- Document performance issues and communicate with supervisors and HR.
- Manage staff schedules and assignments.
- Deal effectively with performance problems and terminate appropriately when necessary.
- Promote harmony and quality job performance of staff through support and effective leadership.
- Ensure staff compliance and consistency with Company policies and procedures.
- Achieve the highest possible net operating income through cost control and leasing improvements.
- Develop and implement resident retention programs.
- Manage property appearance and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Operate machinery and power tools, and respond to emergencies.
- Maintain administrative and leasing reporting accuracy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years of experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions.
- Physical requirements include communication, repetitive motion, standing, moving about, ascending/descending, and working in various environments.
- License/equipment requirement: Reliable transportation due to emergency on-call requirement.

Pay
$95,000 per year
Schedule
This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to additional compliance requirements. Overtime, weekends, and night shifts may be required.
