As an employee of the Boston Fed, you will work to promote sound growth and financial stability in New England and the nation. The bank contributes to communities, the region, and the nation by conducting economic research, participating in monetary policy‑making, supervising certain financial institutions, providing financial services and payments, playing a leadership role in the payments industry, and supporting economic well‑being in communities through a variety of efforts. Our mission is to create a vibrant economy that works for all. The Senior Community Development Analyst will help design and implement the Working Places Initiative to support economic growth for lower‑income residents in smaller cities and rural areas in New England. The initiative focuses on fostering cross‑sector collaboration on issues that communities themselves have identified as important to economic vitality, such as housing, child care and small business activity. It is composed of two parts: (1) Sharing best practices with community leaders and creating space for peer connection through the Working Places Learning Network; and (2) Partnering directly with communities through cohorts focused on key topics such as small business and housing and more over time. Cohorts connect local collaboratives with shared learning experiences, technical assistance and other resources to advance local efforts.
