Your responsibilities In this role, you will lead external communications and reputation management for Verda in the US. The work covers both strategy and hands-on execution as we scale. Your responsibilities include shaping Verda's communications strategy in one of its key markets and the company's external narrative. You'll work on media relations, executive visibility, announcements, and crisis communications, and build trusted relationships with Verda's external stakeholders. You'll collaborate closely with Government Relations, Marketing, Operations and our wider Communications team to build positions, keep external messaging consistent and timely, and monitor coverage and industry conversation to spot opportunities and risks. You work as part of our Global Communications team, and report to our Head of Communications. Your key competencies 7+ years of experience in external communications, reputation management, media relations, corporate communications, or a related fieldTrack record of building impactful communications strategiesAbility to navigate complex technological, political and business topics and to build clear messaging that positions Verda in relevant conversationsExperience working with media and journalists in the US market and building trusted relationshipsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyStrong stakeholder management skills and experience working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and writing skills in English Nice to have Experience in a technology, cloud, AI, SaaS, or scale-up environmentExperience building communications strategies and navigating complex issuesExperience supporting executive and leadership communicationsExperience with media training and spokesperson preparationExperience managing crisis or issues communications Practicalities Location: San FranciscoWorking mode: Hybrid, three days a week in the officeEmployment type: Full-time and permanentSalary: $180,000-$210,000 base salary per annum depending on experience What's Next If this sounds like your next move, apply now.
