Senior Commissioning Agent
About the role
WSP USA, an award-winning and innovative multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, seeks a Senior Commissioning Agent for our Los Angeles, CA office. Other locations include Phoenix, AZ; Irvine, CA; and Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities
- Execution of standard building commissioning processes for new and existing construction as found in ASHRAE Guidelines.
- Perform engineering design reviews for commissioning related activities.
- Performance of ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 Energy Audits.
- Support for obtaining building sustainability certifications such as LEED, Energy Star, etc.
- Scopes of work to include a variety of building components including mechanical, plumbing, electrical distribution, lighting and specialty systems including fire alarm, security, and other enhanced building technology/control systems including nurse call, renewable energy systems, etc.
- Proficient communication and organization skills are necessary to conduct meetings, coordinate schedules, and prepare reports.
Requirements
- Prioritize effectively, have good follow-through, and practice self-implemented quality control measures.
- Possess a desire to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities in the trade, and advance in a career in the commissioning industry.
- Desire to attain Cx, controls and/or TAB certifications.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering or Construction-related field.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in discipline with prior building and systems commissioning experience.
- Technical knowledge of HVAC and building systems to evaluate and test the performance of these systems.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Total facilities commissioning experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree is preferred.
- LEED certification desired.
Benefits
- Compensation: $103,000 - $142,000 (all locations).
- Benefits include coverage related to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life; retirement savings; paid sick leave; paid vacation (or other personal time); paid parental leave; and paid time off for purposes of bereavement, voting, and/or attendance at naturalization proceedings.
