Senior Commercial Loan Officer

About the role

The Senior Commercial Loan Officer will plan, organize, and oversee the Credit Union's commercial services, including business loan products and related commercial ancillary services.

Responsibilities

• Generates new commercial lending opportunities through established and emerging business relationships, personal networking, community involvement, and centers of influence—going beyond reliance on inbound referrals.
• Sustains loan growth by driving appropriate volume, profitability, and portfolio quality while maintaining minimal delinquency levels.
• Maintains and analyzes key commercial lending statistics, including loan production, portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and reporting data.
• Manages business loans and related relationships effectively to meet borrower needs while protecting the Credit Union's interests.
• Establishes and maintains professional business relationships with members, vendors, the business community, and trade organizations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in producing and managing commercial loans, with a proven track record of originating, structuring, and closing sound commercial deals.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required; MBA is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of lending concepts, practices, procedures, and financial statements along with working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, statutes, and filing requirements related to lending, collections, insurance, and related functions.
