Senior Commercial Lender

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with borrowers and prospects
• Develop a quality portfolio by quickly connecting with a multitude of prospects
• Underwrite lending opportunities in the Houston market with a strong credit/analytical skill set
• Maintain a profitable portfolio that aligns with the company's goals
• Review, analyze, and underwrite commercial real estate loans and personal/corporate financial statements
• Analyze regulatory compliance issues related to lending, environmental requirements, and local building practices
• Write reports, business correspondence, and complete credit evaluations
• Manage and seek information from multiple sources while managing multiple tasks

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in commercial lending and account management in a financial institution with all product types
• Thorough knowledge of the local real estate and commercial/industrial marketplaces
• Strong credit/analytical skill set
• Expertise in loan documentation, security interest perfection, lines of credit, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, regulatory compliance, and confidentiality practices
• Solid understanding of commercial building construction procedures and practices
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of accounting policies and bank regulations
