About the Role
Senior Commercial Divers provide commercial diving services including underwater inspections, construction, and associated topside work. This position may also include shop and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Set up a dive station and ensure all equipment is functioning as designed.
- Complete all required daily safety sheets and hold daily safety meetings.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and follow health and safety procedures related to the work.
- Apply basic construction skills (concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, fabricating, etc.).
- Understand the project scope and associated tasks.
- Understand line pull, rigging, and crane signals, and demonstrate proper rigging techniques.
- Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed-upon expectations.

Requirements
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and able to work independently.
Qualifications
- Commercial dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card.
- 3+ years of experience required.
- Current Blood Borne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, DAN O2 Administration certifications.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current ADCI “Fit to Dive” physical.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10hr OSHA General Construction Course.
- 30hr OSHA Construction Course.
- Certified Welder.
- Mechanic background.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
- Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- In the field, may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to eight hours or more at a time.

- Maintain current industry knowledge and expertise through professional involvement, which may require flexible working hours.
- Ability and availability to work overtime and outside of normal working hours as needed.

Pay
The hourly pay range for positions in Kentucky is $29 to $37 an hour, depending on education and relevant experience.
