About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Account Executive to join our ThoughtSpot team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in selling SaaS, preferably in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics. You should thrive in a rapidly growing environment and be comfortable working with an early-stage technical product that delivers value to both technical and non-technical audiences. A value-based sales approach and "first on the ground" experience are significant advantages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a territory of "Digital Native" Commercial accounts, focusing on winning new ThoughtSpot customers.
  • Generate pipeline through proactive prospecting, making it a core part of your business activities.
  • Develop new opportunities and establish trust and credibility with end-users, influencers, and decision-makers at all levels of assigned accounts.
  • Conduct product demonstrations in person and via web-based technologies.
  • Manage complex sales cycles with large companies and align with key partners in the territory to exceed targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ year track record of exceeding quota in a SaaS technology sales environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external business partners to sell technology solutions ranging from $50K to $1M+.
  • Well-spoken, poised, and able to command attention and bring high energy to engagements.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence others on behalf of the customer.
  • Commitment to tracking sales metrics and performance for personal improvement.
  • Interest in career growth, continuous learning, and personal development.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred.

Skills

  • AI literacy and ability to integrate artificial intelligence into daily workflows to increase productivity and quality.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to automate routine tasks and improve work quality.
  • Experience using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
  • Ability to write effective prompts to achieve accurate and creative results from AI tools.
  • Curiosity in exploring new AI tools, adaptability to learn and implement emerging AI technologies, and critical thinking to discern when AI or human judgment is appropriate.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule: expected in-office 3 days per week to experience the energy of the local office, balancing in-person collaboration and flexibility.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $154,000 - $220,000 USD per year (national range).
