Responsibilities
- Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements and GD&T.
- Working with Engineers to communicate needs, manufacturability and timeline.
- Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Create and maintain programs using CAM software.
- Prepare and mark raw materials needed to manufacture parts.
- Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan.
- Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly.
- Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience programming simultaneous multi-axis CNC.
- Proficiency with component design and assembly management using 3D CAD software, such as Solidworks, CREO, and Fusion 360.
- Familiarity with commonly used aerospace and commercial specifications for materials, processes, fasteners, mechanical components, etc.
- A clear understanding of G and M code.
- Knowledge of how-to setup and operate multi-axis mill with a high level of familiarity simultaneous and 3D machining.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications and drawings.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and adjust during the manufacturing process.
- Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 pounds and remain at your workstation throughout the day.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Haas, Okuma OSP, Siemens, Heidenhain controls.
- Experience with the automated loading and unloading of parts using pallet changers, robotic arms, etc.
- Experience with additive manufacturing and EDM.
- Experience with Zeiss CMM.
- Proficiency with ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with standard practices for fabricating and manufacturing any number of parts from a variety of materials including but not limited to Aluminum, Titanium, High nickel alloys and Carbon Fiber.
