Senior CNC Machinist- Milling (2nd Shift)
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose. Remove boilerplate. Include sections only when posting has real specific content. We have content: About the role (description), What You'll Do (duties), Requirements (education/experience, competencies, culture fit, physical requirements), Benefits (Generous PTO, Comprehensive Benefits, Competitive Pay, 401k Match, Professional Growth), Pay (salary range), Schedule (Work Schedule). Also maybe "Benefits" section includes PTO, benefits, 401k, tuition reimbursement. We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to preserve all substantive info. So we need to extract details.
Let's parse:
- Full-time Description: intro paragraph about UMC (community, etc). That's prose.
- Generous PTO: Start with 3 weeks of paid time off per year, with accrual starting on day one. Night shift employees receive an additional week of PTO (4 weeks total)!
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, and paid holidays.
- Competitive Pay: Attractive salary with a 20% pay differential for weekend shift roles.
- 401k Match: Dollar-for-dollar matching up to 5%.
- Professional Growth: Tuition reimbursement for professional development.
- Work Schedule: Monday- Thursday 4:30 pm - 3:00 am, onsite in Monticello, MN.
- About The Role: paragraph.
- What You'll Do: bullet list (multiple items). We need to convert to
- .
- Requirements: includes Education And Experience, Competencies, Culture Fit, Physical Requirements. We can maybe have subheadings? But only allowed headings are h3 for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. They said use h3 for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we should have sections: About the role, Responsibilities (maybe "What You'll Do" maps to Responsibilities), Requirements, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Possibly also Qualifications? But we have Requirements covering education/experience etc. We could split Requirements into Education & Experience and Competencies etc but they said prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we can keep Requirements as one section containing all subpoints (education, competencies, culture fit, physical). Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So inside Requirements we can have multiple
lists? Probably each list of items should be - . We'll need to decide structure.
We must not repeat job title as heading. The job title is Senior CNC Machinist; we shouldn't put that as heading.
We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers.
We must remove boilerplate like EEO etc. There's a line "UMC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer" - remove.
Also "Salary Description $41.32-$52.00/hour- shift differential included" - we need to include pay info.
We need to preserve all substantive info.

Pay
$41.32-$52.00/hour (shift differential included).
Schedule
Monday‑Thursday 4:30 pm – 3:00 am, onsite in Monticello, MN.
We need to ensure we didn't include any filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
Check for any duplicated lines: we have "Competitive Pay" appears both in Benefits list and as separate Pay section. The Benefits list includes "Competitive Pay: Attractive salary with a 20% pay differential for weekend shift roles." That's a benefit description. The Pay section includes salary range. It's okay to have both; but we might consider merging? The instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Having both Benefits and Pay sections is okay because they are distinct. However we have Competitive Pay listed inside Benefits as a bullet; that duplicates info. Might be considered duplication. We could remove that bullet from Benefits to avoid duplication. The Benefits section should list benefits: PTO, Comprehensive Benefits, 401k Match, Professional Growth. The Competitive Pay is more about compensation, not a benefit per se. So we should remove that bullet from Benefits list.
Thus Benefits bullets:
- Generous PTO: Start with 3 weeks of paid time off per year, with accrual starting on day one. Night shift employees receive an additional week of PTO (4 weeks total).
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, and paid holidays.
- 401k Match: Dollar-for-dollar matching up to 5%.
- Professional Growth: Tuition reimbursement for professional development.
Now Pay section: $41.32-$52.00/hour (shift differential included). Also note there is a 20% pay differential for weekend shift roles; we could include that in Pay section description. Let's incorporate: "Attractive salary with a 20% pay differential for weekend shift roles; $41.32-$52.00/hour (shift differential included)."
Now check for any other boilerplate: "UMC is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer" removed. Also there is a line "Full-time Description At UMC, we’re more than a company – we’re a community..." we used that as About the role paragraph. Good.
Check for any repeated lines: The "About The Role" paragraph we used is same as intro; we might want to keep only one. The intro paragraph is exactly the same as "About The Role" paragraph? Actually the intro: "Full-time Description At UMC, we’re more than a company – we’re a community of innovators, problem-solvers, and passionate individuals united by a commitment to excellence. As a proud American manufacturer, we operate on the cutting edge of our industry, producing highly complex parts with precision and ingenuity. That's exactly the same as the "About The Role" paragraph? The "About The Role" heading is followed by: "The Senior CNC Machinist is responsible for expert-level machine operation, setup, and quality assurance within their area
for prose. Remove boilerplate. Include sections only when posting has real specific content.
