Role Overview: Beehive Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open position for a Senior Machinist. This role is intended for an experienced machinist who can independently set up and operate CNC equipment to machine precision components from billet and metal 3D printed materials. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with strong technical expertise, capable of executing complex machining work with limited supervision while contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Independently setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment
- Develop and optimize machining fixtures for complex aerospace components
- Support quoting of machining work for internal and external customers
- Maintain accurate and detailed production records, setup sheets, and machining documentation
- Ensure work area cleanliness and organization in alignment with 5S standards
- Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, efficiency, and quality
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on shop equipment as needed
- Identify EH&S hazards, risks, and controls within machine shop operations and ensure proper mitigation
- Ensure full compliance with EHS, quality systems, and manufacturing standards
