Senior Cloud Support Engineer

About the role

A Senior Cloud Support Engineer is needed to provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. They will be responsible for resolving complex issues, implementing best practices, and ensuring the stability and performance of cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, diagnostics, and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud services and processes.
• Conduct regular security assessments and implement security best practices to protect cloud resources.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to cloud computing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud support or a related field.
• Proven experience with at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-native applications and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and management tools.
