Senior Cloud SRE/DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SRE with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience with DevOps using AWS, Kubernetes, and other technologies, and will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of applications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Kustomize, Flux, Crossplane, CRDs, and AWS components (EKS, ELB, S3, EBS, EFS, RDS, CloudWatch)
• Proficient in Python coding, packaging, and deployment to EKS
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and infrastructure design (TLS, SSL)
• Good understanding of Apache services (Kafka, Trino, Superset, Airflow, Spark, Jupyter notebook, Ranger)
• Experience with Big Data and Lakehouse (Apache Iceberg) for Data Pipeline and Lakehouse reliability

Nice to Have Skills

• Working knowledge of Kafka, Flink, Trino

Technical/Functional Skills

• Good experience with Core Kubernetes fundamentals (deployments, troubleshooting)
• DevOps experience with data platform aspects (Apache services integration)
• Proficient in Python coding and packaging
• Experience with performance and troubleshooting aspects (high traffic Application performance monitoring, load balancing)
• Strong experience with EKS cluster Upgrade process and GitHub
• Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code), Docker, and Kubernetes (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS))
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins)

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, Kubernetes, and AWS, with experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of applications.
