Senior Cloud Security Architect

About the role

The successful candidate will serve as a Senior Cloud Security Architect reporting to the Infrastructure Management division. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with other passionate professionals who share your drive and commitment to making a difference through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and deployment of security solutions deployed in large, complex hybrid cloud environments.
  • Provide guidance at various stages of planning and implementing secure design, processes, and resilient solutions.
  • Interaction with OTI Infrastructure Management leadership, its engineering and architecture teams, operations team, and cloud vendors.
  • Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or education and/or experience equivalent to the above.

Preferred Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Cloud Security Engineering/Architect or related field.
  • Hands-on experience architecting and securing real-world workloads in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Design secure multi-account/multi-tenant cloud infrastructures and enforce the principle of least privilege through Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Embed security into DevOps workflows (CI/CD pipelines) and utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Deploy and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) platforms (e.g., Prisma Cloud) to remediate misconfigurations.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
  • Integrate cloud telemetry into SIEM systems and assist with forensic analysis and blast radius containment during security events.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, as well as cloud network boundaries (VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateways).
  • Propose networking security architecture to meet business requirements while adhering to OTI's best practices guidelines.
  • Highly valued credentials include the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

Schedule

Due to the necessary technical duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.
