Senior Cloud & Network Engineer

About the role

Cortrucent Security is seeking a Senior Cloud & Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of client and internal IT environments. This role combines deep technical expertise across cloud, on-premise infrastructure, and cybersecurity with pre-sales engineering and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering: Design, deploy, and manage hybrid environments across cloud (Azure/M365/AWS) and on-premise infrastructure
• Administer and support core platforms, including: Servers (Windows / Linux), Networking (firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Switching, VLANs & routing), Hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g., Nutanix, HCI stacks), Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV)
• Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery readiness
• Support software development and data teams
• Lead infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives
• Support identity, access, and Zero Trust frameworks
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver end-to-end IT solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and networking
• Strong hands-on experience with: Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, Active Directory), Networking experience fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing), Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV), Endpoint and identity security controls
• Proven experience deploying and managing security technologies
• Active Microsoft Cloud Certifications, such as: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102 or equivalent)
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship — current or future

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position at 23 Harker Ave, Berlin, NJ 08009. Occasional weekend and holiday availability for on-call emergency support.
