Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Ashburn

About the role

The Cloud Supply Chain team delivers end-to-end solutions that power ByteDance’s global business, combining compliance, cost efficiency, and quality at scale. We build the backbone of global AI infrastructure, ensuring computing power never becomes a bottleneck. The team is focused on AI Server cost optimization, full-chain cost governance, and process automation to drive smarter, leaner operations and free up resources for high-value problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business operations to forecast future load and resource requirements, analyze historical and existing business behaviors and data trends, and build medium- and long-term resource planning and architecture layout.
• Promote the maturity and improvement of platform modules, address resource layout, fulfillment, and management issues through automation and engineering means, and formulate resource capacity and management rules.
• Work with internal and external manufacturers to establish architecture evolution plans and formulate medium- and long-term NPI introduction and architecture replacement mechanisms.
• Conduct specialized resource architecture reviews for top businesses, focusing on resource inventory, business dependencies, and core priorities (resources, availability, cost).
• Help businesses stay informed about real-time opportunities for architecture optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in a computer-related field; familiarity with information and communication technology as well as computer architecture (e.g., operating systems, networks, databases).
• 3+ years of experience working in Cloud Service and AI Infrastructure.
• Ability to systematically solve problems, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Cloud Service, AI infrastructure, Container Technology, and microservice architecture, with hands-on experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the underlying principles and implementation architectures of mainstream cloud computing products from different vendors.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $127,200 – $288,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Eligible employees may receive additional bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits vary by employment type and work location.
