Senior Cloud Engineer

The Global Technology team at Prudential takes pride in transforming the organization through digital innovation. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver computing services in cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and support solutions to automate infrastructure management.
• Build and support easily consumable services for software development teams.
• Collaborate with product owners to define feature stories and technical designs.
• Automate unit and integration tests and contribute to the development of robust solutions.
• Adhere to corporate platform standards and document solutions for adoption.
• Apply infrastructure fundamentals and use programming languages like Python, Shell/Power scripting, Groovy, or Ansible.
• Work on complex problems and leverage infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

Requirements

• Programming experience in Python, shell scripting, Groovy, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with DevOps tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Understanding of software development life cycle and coding standards.
• Commitment to quality and basic testing principles.

Qualifications

• Education in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Skills & Expertise

• Programming experience in Python, shell scripting, Groovy, or similar languages.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, protocols, firewall concepts).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (automation, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to quality and basic testing principles.

Pay

$104,000.00 to $171,600.00 annually.
