About the role
The Global Technology team at Prudential takes pride in transforming the organization through digital innovation. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver computing services in cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and support solutions to automate infrastructure management.
- Build and support easily consumable services for software development teams.
- Collaborate with product owners to define feature stories and technical designs.
- Automate unit and integration tests and contribute to the development of robust solutions.
- Adhere to corporate platform standards and document solutions for adoption.
- Apply infrastructure fundamentals and use programming languages like Python, Shell/Power scripting, Groovy, or Ansible.
- Work on complex problems and leverage infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
Requirements
- Programming experience in Python, shell scripting, Groovy, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with DevOps tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of software development life cycle and coding standards.
- Commitment to quality and basic testing principles.
Qualifications
- Education in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering or related fields.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Skills & Expertise
- Programming experience in Python, shell scripting, Groovy, or similar languages.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, protocols, firewall concepts).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (automation, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to quality and basic testing principles.

Pay
$104,000.00 to $171,600.00 annually.
