The Role

Fidelity Institutional (FI) is seeking a bold, energetic engineer who is passionate about building and scaling cloud-based automation and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate is ambitious, collaborative, and motivated to make a meaningful impact through engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate across multiple areas within the FI Platform Engineering Team, engaging with a range of our platform and service offerings, which currently span DevOps, DevSecOps, Test Automation & Reporting Platforms, Common Authorization & Identity Services, and Accelerating Delivery via GenAI.
  • Build and operate highly resilient platforms in AWS cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain software applications using Python, NodeJS, or Java, focusing on SDLC and automation.
  • Work with containers (Kubernetes) and serverless applications (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Utilize infrastructure automation and observability tools like Jenkins, DataDog.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Have scripting ability in PowerShell or Bash Shell, Unix Scripting, and basic sysadmin skills in Linux, Networking, and Load Balancing.
  • Ensure platforms run effectively and comply with corporate security guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Show strong written and verbal communications skills.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

2 - 3 years of experience in Cloud development (AWS).

4 - 6 Years of experience in software development with Python, NodeJS, or Java with a focus on SDLC and automation.

Hands on experience working with containers (Kubernetes) and serverless applications (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3).

Working experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) E.g. Terraform.

Experience with infrastructure automation and Observability tools E.g. Jenkins, DataDog.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

Scripting ability in PowerShell or Bash Shell, Unix Scripting, and basic sysadmin skills in Linux, Networking, Load Balancing.

Qualifications

Strong team focus with good relationship building skills.
