Senior Cloud Developer

About the role

We are expanding our engineering team to bring in software engineers with expertise in Java, Cloud architectures, and MapReduce to optimize our high-capacity platforms. This role requires an active TS/SCI polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leverage modern big data and cloud infrastructures to tackle complex data challenges.
• Write efficient, scalable code and implement advanced distributed processing frameworks.
• Ensure mission-critical cloud analytics platforms deliver reliable intelligence at scale.

Requirements

• Required Skills:
  • Java Core Development: Strong, hands-on programming experience building scalable, high-performing applications using modern Java frameworks.
  • Big Data Processing: Deep technical understanding and direct development experience working with MapReduce frameworks.
  • Cloud Architecture: Solid background developing software within complex, secure Cloud environments.
  • Mission Platform Experience: Demonstrated familiarity and hands-on experience utilizing specialized processing tools, specifically the QTA platform.
• Desired Skills:
  • Experience with additional distributed processing tools and cloud-native databases.
  • Strong communication skills with a team-first mindset, always focused on delivering clear, actionable technical solutions.
  • A proactive approach to identifying system bottlenecks and contributing to architectural improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, System Engineering, or related field) preferred, or equivalent professional experience with 14 years of experience, or 18 years of relevant experience.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this role is $186,000-$220,000 (USD).
