Senior Cloud Architect & Program Manager

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Cloud Architect & Program Manager to lead Azure strategy, design secure cloud solutions, and drive major modernization efforts. This role blends architecture, program leadership, and executive partnership to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cloud strategy, roadmap, and future-state architecture.
• Design secure, scalable Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Set cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost-optimization standards.
• Drive Azure migrations, hybrid cloud integrations, and DevOps adoption.
• Lead high-impact technology programs from strategy through delivery.
• Align business, technology, vendor, and executive stakeholders.
• Communicate status, risks, decisions, and outcomes to senior leadership.
• Represent Technology on cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Manage projects from concept through implementation.
• Define scope, resources, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Track financials, risks, issues, and dependencies to keep work on course.
• Create key project materials, including plans, requirements, test scripts, change logs, and executive updates.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years in Azure architecture or cloud leadership.
• Experience leading complex enterprise technology initiatives across internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to Port Authority facilities as needed.

Desired Qualifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar certification.
• FinOps or cloud cost management experience.
• Experience in government, transportation, infrastructure, or regulated environments.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
