About the role
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based, cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for business workflows. Implement cloud-native solutions on GCP for data ingestion, processing, storage, retrieval, and distribution. Create and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration, versioning, documentation, and backward compatibility. Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into applications. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in cloud applications, including root-cause analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product Management to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based, cloud-native applications on GCP
- Implement cloud-native solutions for data ingestion, processing, storage, retrieval, and distribution
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs with seamless integration, versioning, documentation, and backward compatibility
- Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in cloud applications, including root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product Management) to deliver high-quality software solutions
Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing backend services and APIs in Java
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating applications on Google Cloud Platform
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with authentication/authorization patterns
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications, with familiarity in evaluation/monitoring
- Knowledge of secure engineering practices, including least privilege and secrets management
- Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and Git-based development workflows
