Senior Cloud Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain efficient operation of multi-cloud systems, including coordination with network administrators
  • Set up and manage administrator and service accounts across multiple cloud service providers in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation for cloud infrastructure, tenant inventory, and configuration management
  • Tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space to optimize cloud environment operations
  • Respond to large-scale events involving instantiation of virtual resources such as VMs, containers, and storage in support of mission-critical operations
  • Diagnose and resolve critical software and system failures with minimal impact to operations
  • Propose, drive, and implement technical solutions for automation, efficiency, and scalability across enterprise cloud environments
  • Develop and improve tools, reports, and processes to monitor the health of cloud environments
  • Provide updates and guidance on operating system releases, updates, announcements, bugs, and fixes
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD Cloud Computing SRG requirements
  • Support application migration and onboarding activities
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership on cloud administration best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud administration
  • Extensive hands-on experience administering enterprise cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, and/or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance requirements
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (minimum)
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance
  • One or more cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, OCI Architect)
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification
  • Experience with DoD cloud environments and FedRAMP/FedRAMP+ compliance
  • Knowledge of DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal mission systems
